My Charlie Brown Christmas Tree!

Hey! I know it's been awhile, but I think I'm finally ready to start blogging again. I have been recently obsessed with reading, and even when I don't like the book I can't put it down...I'm trying to kick the habit! On that note, here is my christmas tree story.

So every year I want a Christmas tree, and every year Bjorn tells me no. His reasoning, "it's messy and you make me do all the work." I can't argue with this because I'm lazy and he's right. I make him put up the tree, put on the lights, help me decorate (he usually finishes by himself because I get bored), then he's in charge of watering it and keeping the cats away from it. So, he has a major point, he does all the work. Last year, to counter all the work I suggested we get an inexpensive fake tree...I just wanted a little one to put on a table top or something. I figured I couldn't get bored decorating a tree so small it could sit on a table. We went shopping for the fake tree, but then couldn't agree on which one to get, so we ended up with nothing. This year, I had a brilliant idea...Let's make our Christmas tree! Bjorn was like "right, how are you going to do that." And I was like, "duh, I'm going to make it out of sticks!" He thought I was joking, but yesterday he and I together really did make ourselves a Christmas tree out of sticks! It's not decorated yet, but here are a couple pictures of my Charlie Brown Christmas Tree! I'll post more once I get it all decorated.

To make the tree, we stuck a good sized stick in the middle of a base (that my stepdad so kindly cut for me), and then we drilled holes up the stick and fit smaller branches into the holes, using some wood glue of course! Here is Bjorn drilling some holes.

Here is the finished tree...I can't wait to get some lights and decorations on it. I just have to convince Bjorn to get everything down from the attic for me tonight!

Very Unique. I look forward to seeing the finished project. Get an oversized box then you can keep the decorations on it saving time next year :)
